Hope everyone is enjoying their summer. Those that missed the state convention, missed a good time. Good venders, good food and good fellowship. Not a lot to report from the southwest. Been tending the garden some and fishing a few local bass tournaments. Our bear and coon chase is open now so guess I will run the hounds a bit. Also time to start getting the trapping gear in order. Trapping season will be before we know it. I got a few dates for everyone to keep in mind. Our D-1 mini convention will be held at the Bland fairgrounds the 22 and 23 of October. Also we will be having our D-1 fur processing day at the Wythe livestock market the 22 of January. We will be having our D-1 fur sale February the 26th. Try and make plans to attend as many of these D-1 functions as you can. Would also like to announce that Wendell Webb won our auction and decided to take the electronic caller. We will be doing a raffle on the remaining Jake traps and drawing them off at our mini- convention at Bland the 23 of October. Looking forward to seeing you at one of these events.
