Membership Secretary’s Report for August ‘08
It’s the end of July as I write this, and VTA has just held another successful convention. Thank you to those who came out to support it. In spite of the heat, I enjoyed myself thoroughly, taking in demo or two and chewing the fat with other trappers. To those who missed this year’s event, I hope to see you next time.
The members of Districts 4 and 5 who helped put on the convention deserve a great deal of gratitude. Thanks go out to Glen Mabe, Scott Painter, Bryan Nelson, Thomas and Donalee Teague, Billy Price, Roy Wood and all the others who gave their time and effort to the VTA. Also, we all owe Bill Coffee and his better half, Deb, a pat on the back for the work they did again this year on the kids’ program. Also, I appreciate all the fine folks who did demos; which, by the way, was a pretty impressive line-up.
We were pretty successful in signing-up new members at the convention, with 38 new members now amongst our roles. Coupled with the 32 who renewed, our membership now stands at 680. I need to thank Charlaine Crebbs for her help with signing-up new members and renewing others; I very much appreciate your efforts.
Lastly, I want to thank the vendors and dealers who came and supported our convention. Also, many thanks for the donations for our auction. Speaking of the auction, the next time you all see Ron Sprouse, let him that we appreciate the fine job he did as the auctioneer.
