The hot
summer weather is sure hanging on here in
Virginia
. I attended the annual New York Trappers' Rendezvous in
Herkimer
County
over labor day weekend. Reports from friends advised me that nighttime
temperatures were much cooler than here in
Virginia
, so I was glad I took a few sweatshirts. Tropical Storm Ernesto plagued
my drive from the Friday afternoon when I left
Virginia
until my drive home the following Monday morning. He followed my truck
pool of trappers right up the coast. We still had a real good time up
there, and I was able to sell a couple
additional ads for the newsletter. This issue of The Virginia Trapper features the annual Virginia Trappers
Association convention being held in Bland, VA on October 20-22. I would
imagine by those dates, even in
Virginia
, we will need sweatshirts by nightfall. The final issue of 2006 will be
printed and mailed sometime in mid-December. I need stories, articles,
trap line tips, pictures, paid advertisements, etc. from VA trappers.
This newsletter will only be as good as the members want, so dig around
and submit something to share with the membership. Send all material to
